A woman doctor (Kawakami) discovers that some of her young patients are actually vampires. They visciously slice up their victim's necks with a knife and slurp up the drainage. One wears a hooded rain jacket to obscure his identity and presumably to keep blood off his clothes. He looks a bit comic, a short child in a hood slashing his victims with gusto. I imagine that the child actors had a lot of fun doing this film.
As a concession to traditional vampires, they have an extreme aversion to sunlight. It has one or two interesting scenes, but little to commend itself to the non-Japanese-speaking audience.
